About

The Forum for Cultural Engagement (FCE) was founded in September 2014 to develop and manage public diplomacy programs in coordination with the U.S. Department of State and private partners. Its mission is to partner with government entities, civic organizations, and business leaders to develop sustainable culture-based leadership programs that promote intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and conflict resolution. FCE also develops community engagement programs in the United States in coordination with civic organizations, government agencies, and private sponsors.

Since its inception, the organization has worked closely on the development of international exchange programs with more than thirty U.S. Embassies and Consulates. FCE maintains and deploys a roster of musicians, theater artists, filmmakers, choreographers, dance companies, and arts administrators, who are available to use their voice to build bridges between America and the people in the countries in which they perform. Additionally, FCE develops unique sports diplomacy programs which are tailored to reach a wide range of amateur and professional athletes.

FCE also oversees the management of The Home Tour  which brings live musical concerts and community celebrations to the homes of people who otherwise would not have regular access to live music. The Home Tour uses live music to enrich lives, inspire and connect people, and engage communities around the world. The tour assembles local and nationally recognized musicians to perform for — and with – residents in supportive housing communities and beyond. The Home Tour has engaged more than 100 communities worldwide; played for tens of thousands of residents; hosted on stage hundreds of residents from the communities where they have played; and partnered with more than 100 social service organizations in 25 countries.
